About

Sasindi Sithupama Hewage was born in Anuradhapura but calls Galle home now, and it's along that stretch of Sri Lanka's southern coast, in the hospitality industry, that she's spent the last several years building a career from the ground up. At 21, she brings a work ethic to the pageant stage that comes from years of hands-on experience in guest service.

Her educational path reflects that same practical focus. Sasindi holds a Diploma in English from the British Way English Academy and completed a Tourism and Hotel Management course at the Sri Lanka Institute in Koggala, alongside a three-month Barista and Bartender Academy certification. She finished her G.C.E. Advanced Level examinations in 2023 and her Ordinary Levels in 2020, building toward hospitality from her very first steps in higher education.

She currently works as a Food and Beverage Hostess at Mount Lavinia Hotel, one of Sri Lanka's most storied properties, and previously spent a year and three months as a Front Desk Receptionist at Barberyn Reef Ayurveda Resort in Moragalla, where she managed guest relations and front office operations. Between the two roles, she's developed a genuine fluency in hospitality that few contestants her age can match.

Pageantry is new territory for her. Sasindi describes herself as an aspiring talent making her passionate debut into the industry, and she's approaching it with the same care she brings to a hotel floor. Her advocacy centers on empowering women's leadership and helping break down the barriers that keep women from stepping fully into their own authority. She wants to mentor young women to own their voices, step outside their comfort zones, and lead with empathy rather than apology.

It's a mission she sums up simply: "Believe in yourself, and the first step to making dreams come true. Grace, resilience and a welcoming heart can cross any barrier." For someone who has spent years making guests feel welcome, that belief clearly runs both ways.
