Oshini De Silva

M.A. Oshini Chathurya De Silva, known on stage as Oshini De Silva, represents Athurugiriya in the Western Province and calls Thalawathugoda home. At 23, she's built her path through modeling and dance, completing her Ordinary Level examinations at Sujatha Vidyalaya in Nugegoda before earning an Academic Honor through Model with Ruki, the training ground behind many of this year's delegates.

Modeling and dancing aren't separate pursuits for Oshini so much as two expressions of the same discipline. That dedication has already taken her to the runway as a contestant in Fashion Icon Sri Lanka 2025 and as a model at the IHB Global Forum 2025, experiences that sharpened her stage presence well before she arrived at Miss Grand Sri Lanka.

Her advocacy grows directly out of that experience in the industry. Oshini sees pageantry as a genuine platform for growth, one built on contestants standing together, supporting one another, and pushing each other to succeed rather than competing in isolation. She hopes to become a role model for others navigating the same path into modeling, showing that there's room for everyone to rise together.

"My dream is to inspire and be a role model for those who follow their passion and dreams," she says, a fitting ambition for someone who has spent her career so far doing exactly that for the people around her.
